When I see "future truth" before the "present truth" does that make me Apostate? As one of Jehovah's Witnesses ..... and an elder and I am asked that question, how should I respond? In other words...when "Present Truth" becomes "Past Truth" is it ok for me to see that, or am I "running ahead of the organization?" When does "truth" become "false" and "new Light" now prevails? It is very confusing to me.

Life and Death

Merced died this morning. She was a cat who gave absolute love.

Now I understand why the world's great philosophers want to believe in reincarnation. Merced deserves a better life.

Oh, don't get me wrong, we tried to give her a great life. She gave us more. Laying on your side, sound asleep, and there is a little paw poke to your cheek. Just a reminder, "I love you"... "oh, Please let me get some sleep."

A bit later, a little nuzzle and then her behind is pressing against your chest. She just wants to snuggle. And then she's softly snoring in complete security as she lies against you, as close as she can get. Absolutely confident you will protect her, never do her harm.

She always gave love. During Cancer, Depression or the downs of the day, Merced just gave love. Surely one of God's great creations...

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain

Of course, adventures of faith are difficult. Interestingly, in matters of life in general I have been pretty adventurous but not so in matters of faith. Religion has this way of dictating a prescribed way to think and act. Faith is a personal relationship with your Father. It took me a long time to see that. Do you find religions spending a lot of time proving they are right? Is it about being right? or is it about being Christlike in daily life? Is it about what you say? or what you do?

I find it fascinating the the religion of my life used to view religion as
a snare and a racket!
I think the Pharisee's were a snare and a racket and Jesus and the Apostles were the real thing. Some of the best conversations in the Bible are with Jesus and a notorious sinner. Every time you read one of those conversations you will be impressed with Jesus' open, not judgmental, attitude. I don't think I have been instructed to be that way as an elder and judge.
